My Approach

who I am shapes how I work

Experience

My first-hand experience of 14 years in a corporate environment helps me grasp the challenges of interpersonal relationships and the importance of personal growth. I have observed how strong we can be in our analytical skills and how much we can benefit from developing our personal and relational capabilities.

Frameworks

Certain frameworks have influenced both who I am and how I work, and have become central to my thinking. The approaches that I have seen benefit the people I work with and that permeate all my work are:

  • The work of Daniel Goleman on emotional intelligence, which provides a framework for understanding personal and relational capabilities, how they develop in adults, and how they contribute to effectiveness in the workplace

  • The Co-Active principle of keeping in view who I am, alongside what I do (being and doing)

  • The Nonviolent Communication framework, which offers a lens for understanding how human beings function by separating fact from interpretation and making sense of feelings, needs and motivations

  • Mindfulness, which supports nervous system regulation and health as foundations of human functioning, with neuroscience providing insight into the underlying mechanisms

Multicultural

Multiculturality has always been part of my life. I was born into a multicultural and multilingual family, have lived in three different countries, and now work in four languages with people from around the world. International environments feel natural and energizing to me, and I experience cultural diversity as a source of human richness and discovery.

Foundations

I am able to deliver my work today thanks to three distinct pillars of experience: my academic background in business management, which helped me build my analytical skills; my corporate background, which immersed me in the day-to-day realities of my coachees and trainees; and my professional coaching and training practice since 2016, which has allowed me to collaborate with remarkable people who have enriched my experience.

Capabilities

My journey as a coach and trainer has shaped a set of distinctive capabilities that I bring to the service of my coachees and trainees:

  • Translating right-brain matters into left-brain language
  • Concretizing the abstract
  • Simplifying and clarifying the complex
  • Drawing information from thought, emotion and body
  • Fostering self-awareness and self-leadership

Multigenerational

I enjoy being part of multigenerational environments. I appreciate the different perspectives and strengths that generations contribute to the workplace and the opportunity to bring them together in ways that make teams stronger.
